One Great Season
The Orange Bowl postgame was as entertaining as the Cardinal's demolition of Virginia Tech. At least on Twitter.
For a couple hours, the endless stream of Tweets about Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh covered everything from his ability to evade questions about his future to what he should have said to Frank Beamer after the game.
Anyway, here's a sampling:
+ @bobwojnowski: "Anyone know what time ESPN is televising the Harbaugh Decision, and whether Jim Gray will ask questions for 16 minutes beforehand?"
+ @jimrome: "At least Jim Harbaugh's not wound too tight. Dial down the intensity bro, before you stroke out and can't accept the Niners' job."
+ @sportspickle: "It's weird that Jim Harbaugh coaches in college and John Harbaugh coaches in the NFL, yet Jim's QB is twice as good as John's."
+ @KegsnEggs: "Harbaugh at the mic. Where are the 3 hats for him to pick from?"
+ @Mengus22: "If Steinbrenner were alive, you know he'd offer Harbaugh 10 million per to manage the Yankees."
+ @edsbs: "'What's your deal, Frank?' 'We're horrible in big games and your QB is an architect with a railgun for an arm, Jim.' 'Oh, OK.'"
+ @Dan_Rubenstein: "Jim Harbaugh is the first 'Saved by the Bell: The New Class' guest star to ever win a BCS game ... http://bit.ly/gUg37E"
+ @gkketch: "Harbaugh is gone. That was a huge chance to recruit for Stanford on national TV and he bailed."
+ @BryanDFischer: "I'm thinking that Jim Harbaugh and NCAA violations might cause the sweater vest a bit of heartburn this summer, no?"
+ @AndyHutchins: "Harbaugh: 'TALK TO THESE GUYS, I GOTTA GO TAKE A BATH IN A TUB OF PLATINUM FLAKED WITH GOLD!'"
+ @edsbs: "Harbaugh leaving in a helicopter swooping down to get him mid-question couldn't have been more awkward."
+ @JayChristensen: "I look forward to the possibility of Jim Harbaugh and Pete Carroll renewing their 'friendship' in the NFL."
+ @darrenrovell: "Tomorrow's guarantee: At least 3 reporters will have Harbaugh as a done deal, each going to a different team."
+ @LSUFreek: "Harbaugh should have answered the only way you answer awkward OB questions: 'If you don't love it, leave it! USA, number one!'"
+ @GaryParrishCBS: "Alright. It's time to send in Bonnie Bernstein."
+ @BryanDFischer: "Stanford alums created Google and one is the best golfer in history. If any school could afford a $5 million+ coach, it's the Cardinal."
